Shalev Gil

Living and working in Beit-HillelI work in different mediums including realistic sketch, illustration, design and print.I have studied sketching and paint work with the artist Maya Israel in 2013. Graduated from Design Studies at the Department of Visual Communication in Musrara, the Nagar School of Art and Society; 2014-2017.

In 2017 I have studied  Engraving and Press printing at the Jerusalem Print Workshop. In my work I deal with the connection between text and imagery. My art strives to highlight my personal interpretation of words and manifest them into actuality - as I understand them and their interconnectivity.

My imagination and fantasy, as it correlates to the real world drive me to create complex symbolisms from my areas of interest.
In my art I love bringing forth my passion for architecture through sketches and drawing and thrive to engaging with the conceptuality of this sphere.

At times I like my work to be expressive and at times precise, communicating emotion and critique.

My artistic universe moves between worlds of art and illustration. I find myself working with text and creating new visual realities adding myown perspective to them.
